101. What does happiness/joy feel like physically?
It makes you feel heavy.

102. List five people you love starting with the one you love the absolute most.

A) I

B) Couldn't

C) Possibly

D) Answer

E) This!

103. How many movies have you gone to see this month?

I saw Stardust on Sunday... that's all this month!

104. If you could have 3 wishes...but none of them could be for yourself, what would you wish for?

A) I wish that all the sick people would get better.

B) I wish that all the bullies get their comeuppance.

C) I wish for more wishes (to help the people, of course!)

105. In what ways do you relax and de-stress when you are really tense?

Crying is a good release. Or take a shower! That helps.

106. How much money would it take to get you to drive to school naked in the springtime and get out of the car?

Quite a bit.

107. Have you ever killed an animal?

Only insects.

108. Have you ever lost someone close to you?

I lost two of my grandparents.

109. What do you think of cloning?

I'm indifferent. In some cases it is good, but in others it is bad.

110. Do you read or watch TV more often?

Read.

111. With all this talk of terrorism going around are you willing to sacrifice rights and freedoms for increased safety?

Not really. If we start doing that then the bad guys have won.

112. What is the punishment you would come up with for Osama Bin Laden if you caught him alive?

Locked in a box with a fox. I'm rubbish at punishments. Can't we bring back hanging?

113. Have you ever named an individual part of your body?

No.

114. Have you ever been on the radio or on TV?

I've had emails read out on the radio, and one of my pigtails was on TV.

115. Have you ever won a lottery, or sweepstakes?

I wish.

116. Have you ever won a contest or competition?

I won a cosplay competition last year! I dressed up as Cardcaptor Sakura and won first prize.

117. Do you like to watch The Joy of Painting show with Bob Ross?

I don't watch it, but I've heard of it!

118. Do you know what your grandparents and your great grand parents did for a living?

I know my grandad flew planes. Possibly.

119. Is there anything really interesting in your family history?

No scandal as far as I'm aware.

120. Is there anyone you trust completely?

Possibly. Maybe. Not sure.

121. Have you ever lost someone without having the chance to say goodbye?

Yes. But I'm not regretful.

122. How do you feel about women in politics?

Not really bothered either way.

123. Would you rather have an indoor Jacuzzi or an outdoor pool?

Indoor. Outdoors would get cold!

124. What things are you interested in that you study or read about on your own?

Music. Mental illness. It's really fascinating.

125. Would you consider yourself to be intelligent?

About average.

126. Would you consider yourself to be wise?

Oh yes.

127. Have you ever given or received a lap dance?

Given, no. Received, yes.

128. Have you ever spoken to a homeless person?

Yes.

129. Would you ever creep into the subway tunnels to go exploring?

Probably not. I'm not very good with tunnels.

130. If you could add 70 years to your life but only by making some random person die 70 years sooner would you?

Let's see. Say I live to be 100 - would I want to live to be 170? I doubt it. Think of the health problems!

131. Can you finish any of the following lyrics?

A: Nothing to kill or die for... and no religion too.

B: Late comings with the late comin' stretcher... I know this song but I can't remember the next line!

C: I could make a film and make you my star... This rings a bell but I don't know why.

132. Were you ever with someone while they died?

No.

133. Would you rather be a world political leader or a rock star?

ROCKSTARPLZ.

134. Are you looking forward to any concerts right now?

Kaisers in December!

137. Of all animated movies, which is the best one you've ever seen?

Spirited Away probably had the biggest effect on me.

138. What are the best bands or songs to listen to while driving?

Anything loud.

139. What do you think is the most amazing thing that anyone has ever accomplished?

It's all about personal goals. If you have a dream to eat a six food cheese, and you actually do it, then that's an amazing thing to accomplish.

140. What could a member of the opposite sex do to impress you?

Smile at me. Please.

141. About how many emails do you get a day?

About twenty.

How many of those emails are junk mail?

About sixteen.

How many of them are forwards?

I very rarely get forwards.

142. What's your favorite thing to do online besides write in your diary and hang out at this site?

Neopets. Squee. I know. I never really advanced over the age of 12.

143. Do you believe Kurt Cobain killed himself or was it a conspiracy?

I think it was suicide.

144. Have you ever though about hitchhiking across the country?

Yes. Frequently.

145. Who would you bring with you on this kind of a road trip?

Someone with a wheelbarrow.

146. Of the following, which word best describes you: accurate, bold, charming, dependable

Oh charming, definitely.

147. If you are single, at about what age do you think you will be ready to settle down and get married? If you are married, how old were you at the time?

Marriage? Blimey. Probably when I'm around thirty. Maybe.

148. Do you often wonder, when you say goodbye to people, if it is the last time you will ever see them?

I will now, thanks a lot.

149. What movie are you most looking forward to seeing when it comes out?

Apparently they're going to make a Tennant/Piper Doctor Who movie!! OMG. Although I love Freema dearly.

150. What is your quest?

To destroy the ring.

151. What is louder and more annoying: 200 adults talking or one four-year-old screaming?

One. Child. Is. All. It. Takes. For. Me. To. Snap.

152. Do you believe the stories about planes, boats and people mysteriously disappearing into the Bermuda triangle?

Of course!

153. Who are you the most jealous of?

At this present moment in time, Marian in Robin Hood. I'm really obsessing over that show right now :D

154. What is the happiest way you can start your day?

Waking up. Always a good start.

155. Do you ever have moments where you feel like everything is all right in the world?

Oh, all the time nowadays.

156. Who thinks that you are offensive?

My friend's mother.

157. If you had to teach a class in something, what would you be able to teach people?

I could be an art teacher. I'd like to to that. My art teacher used to just show us a painting, say 'copy it' then read a book for the rest of the lesson. Easy!

158. Have you ever had a spiritual experience (an experience that cannot be explained by science)?

I'm sure I once heard a ghost.

159. Do you believe that this experience was truly mystical or do you think there is some scientific explanation for it, only you don't know what it is?

Ghosts are one of those things where I'm not sure I believe in them or not, so my answer is: 'hmmm'.

160. Do you get offended easily?

I can be quite sensitive.

161. Would you still love and stay with your signifigant other if he or she had to have a breast or testicle removed?

Yes.

162. Do you believe in fate or free will?

Free will generally, but sometimes something will happen and I will think FAAATE! but I'm not sure if I mean it seriously or not. I find myself very difficult to understand.

163. Do you believe that only boring people get bored?

No!

164. Can life change or are we all stuck in vain?

Life can change if you want it to.

165. What changes are you afraid of?

I hate change. Um... you know what? I get really scared when I read in the papers about downloads being more popular than CDs. I actually feel sick. That's how much I care.

166. Are you a day person or nocturnal?

Bit of both.

167. What one CD could you listen to for an entire week (no mixed CD’s, it must be an album)?

I've had 'The Boy With The Arab Strap' by Belle and Sebastian on my record player for the past week.

168. Which is worse, working in retail, food service, or an office?

The office is the worst. One of the worst places in the WORLD, in my opinion. No more work experience for Jojo. Hell no.

169. What's the coolest job you ever had?

Never had a job! Though I was once given the responsibility of cleaning out a cupboard at school.

170. What is one central idea that your thoughts seem to come back to?

Right now, Robin Hood fanfiction. I am so obsessed.

171. Have you ever wanted to be an actor/tress?

Yes! I have actually.

172. If you had the power to control one person and make this person do anything you wanted for a whole day, who would you pick and what would they do?

MUAHA. What I could do if I had the power to control people! I would like to control some kind of fairy godmother. Then anything could happen.

173. What star sign are you and what is your sign like?

Gemini. It's the twins.

174. Did the Blair Witch Project scare you?

I never saw it.

175. Are you in constant fear of death?

I'm really scared of dying.

176. Does fear of death keep you from building a life?

No.

177. Do you like all your movies to be in wide-screen?

Wide-screen can actually be very irritating.

178. Are you a fan of any comic books?

I like manga, if that counts!

179. At what age did you attend your first funeral?

I've never been to one.

180. What do you smell like (lotion, cologne, sweat)?

Apparently I smell of nice shampoo and talcum powder.

181. What are your greatest sources for wisdom?

The fountain.

182. When you were little, where did your parents tell you babies come from?

They told me straight.

183. What is your favorite band?

KAISERS! *fangirlish squee* Or Guillemots, of course. I've learnt not to have one favourite band as they always split up!! *mourns Blink 182*

184. What's the best cheesy 80's song?

How do you define cheese?

185. What's the best kind of movie to see on a date?

Surreal romance.

186. Do you like to sit in the front, middle or back of the Movie Theater?

In the middle you can put your feet up on the bar.

187. Have you ever been inside an abandoned building?

Yes. Just the other day!!

188. Under what circumstances would you agree to work for free?

If I were to be shot if I didn't do the work.

189. Candles or strobe lights?

Depends on my mood.

190. Do you think the Lord of the Rings movies are true to the books or did Hollywood change the story too much?

They're pretty straight, but the ending is wrong. And where the hell did Tom Bombadil go?

191. When you see a stranger on the street does your first reaction lean towards thinking of this person as a potential friend or as a potential threat?

I think everyone is going to kill me. Even if they're a five year old girl or something. Aaagh.

192. Is it natural for human beings to fear and distrust each other, or is it cultural?

Over time it has become a natural feeling.

193. What do you really want to buy?

A tractor.

194. You have to choose. Would you be happier marrying someone rich for their money or living in the streets and subway tunnels with someone you love?

I would quite happily live in a tunnel with someone I love.

195. If someone wanted to understand you what book could they read that would help?

The Giggler Treatment. If you don't find that funny, you will hate me.

196. Do you think it’s odd that Americans have freedom of religion and yet call themselves 'one nation under god'?

I've never really thought about it before. I suppose it is kind of odd.

197. In what sense are you a minority?

There is only one girl with hair like mine in the world. And that's me.

198. Are you anti social?

Not really.

199. Do you photograph well?

I do from front and on my left side, but my right always looks atrocious.

200. Do you think that human beings would survivor through a nuclear winter?

If we had enough blankies.

So I'm really into Robin Hood right now. As you can probably tell. I've signed up to take part in the 'Fanfic 100' challenge, where you write 100 fanfics about your topic of choice. I've also started a blog as Marian. Because I love her. I love everyone in that show, but I find it easier to write from a female's point of view. I almost chose Djaq. I love her too.

Anyway, Marian is here: http://xmaidxmarianx.livejournal.com. Links to the fanfic will be on that profile if you're interested. Please don't feel you have to pretend to be interested though, this is just me being obsessive XD

P.S Someone's created a JOHNNY DEAN SIM! Best! Idea! Ever!

If you (and everyone) had to lose one right or freedom, but you could pick which one everyone had to lose, what would you pick?

The right to vote. Democracy doesn't work guys.

82. If you had to choose would you live on the equator or at the North Pole?

North Pole.

83. Would you rather give up listening to music or watching television?

Watching television.

84. What do you think makes someone a hero?

Nice hair.

85. What cartoon would you like to be a character in?

Top Cat.

86. Name one thing that turns your stomach:

Rollercoasters.

87. Which would you rather take as a gym class...dancing, sailing, karate, or bowling?

Dancing! Actually, bowling sounds like fun too.

91. In Star Trek people 'beam' back and forth between different places. What this means is they stand in a little tube and their molecules are deconstructed and sent to another tube somewhere else where they are reassembled. Only problem is when the molecules are deconstructed the person is dead. When they are put back together it is only a clone that has all the dead person's memories. So...

Is the person who gets beamed the same person on both ends?

No.

92. What's the most eccentric thing you have ever worn?

Right now I'm wearing a neon purple and green dress. With glitter.

95. If you could pick one food that you could eat all you wanted but it would have no effect on how much you weigh, what food would it be?

Pastaaaa.

96. What are your parents interested in?

Music. Gardening. Family History.

97. Have you ever caught an insect and kept it as a pet?

Yes. I had a spider called Speedi. Wait, spiders' aren't insects, are they...

Have you ever caught and tamed a wild animal?

No.

98. What is more helpful to you, wishes or plans?

Wishes.

99. When do you feel your life energy the strongest?

Late at night.

100. What do you bring?

A torch, a tent and a ride home.

I went to London on Monday. It was brilliant! It was a shopping trip, so we went to all the usual places. The guy in Harrods asked me if I wanted a basket. I obviously look like their standard. I love London so much. Everyone's so nice. There was a fantastic busker playing 'Norweigan Wood' near Covent Garden. I think I was the only person who smiled at him all day. He smiled back. Everyone's beautiful in London.

There were also living statues near Covent Garden. I love them. They are incredible. I'd like to have ago some day. I'd stand on a little stage with a basket in my hand. If you toss me a coin, I shall kiss your cheek and hand you a piece of poetry from my basket.

yay

i've had some late nights recently. on friday night there was the it crowd - then in half an hour fonejacker was on, so i watched some mighty boosh - then after fonejacker they played one of my favourite father ted episodes so i didn't get to sleep until much later than i intended. last night i watched 'hard day's night' (great to see it again) and a t-rex concert. another late night.

probably explains why i overslept by two hours this morning. i took the luxury of skipping breakfast and headed straight to the shower, where i proceeded to bang my head, drop the shampoo and nearly slip over. then i dried my hair, covered my eyes in glitter in my own personal marc bolan tribute and lept in the car. for today was the day i was to meet garth nix.

for those who haven't heard of him, garth nix is a superb author! he wrote sabriel, lirael and abhorsen, the keys to the kingdom series and some other stuff too - i've been a fan for ages. he was doing a book signing today so i went along.

he was such a nice guy! i got a bit overexcited and started rambling a bit but he was cool :D he signed his new book for me.

then i bought two manic street preachers albums. i had a good day.

Do you have a best friend that you can talk to 24/7?
Mm. I’m not sure if any of my friends would want me to call them at three in the morning.

87. Do you have any siblings?
My sister.

86. How many years apart is your mum and dad?
3.

85. Do you like someone?
Yes. Yes I do.

84. What does the 7th text in your inbox say?
I don’t have a mobile, but the 7th email in my inbox says:

Does this mean an A-Ha tribute band are supporting?!
x

83.
my first day at school

it was okay.

my new form tutor is really nice. and my form is great too. we nominated my oldest friend in the world as form captain. not everyone i met on the induction day got in though. that was sad.

my first lesson was music technology. this is where you learn about producing and recording music, as well as working with computer software to make dance music. my class has four people it in! it's really nice.

then we had media studies. i got the seat i wanted, so i was happy (although the teacher said that she might move us around. typical).

we watched some clips from films and had to guess what genre they were. one of the things we shall cover in the course is blogging. hopefully i'll be okay at that ;)

then we had lunch. i had a biscuit in the shape of a llama.

after lunch it was english literature. this year i'll be studying hamlet (omelette), a streetcar named desire and return of the native. should be okay.

so that was my day really.

my parents hate the cribs.

this makes me a little sad. last time i bring THAT album in the car.

good news is though - i passed my grade three music theory exam, hooray. pretty good seeing as i had less than a month to learn all the info and the exam hall was full of strange distractions.

i went to the llama park today. it's one of my most favouritist places in the world. it has over 150 llamas and alpacas there. my parents sit in the cafe and let me wander for an hour or so. it was my end of holiday treat. they had reindeer - they were awesome, had proper antlers and everything. they also had little baby llamas and alpacas. they were so cute :)

my parents bought me a pair of mittens with llamas on them as a going-back-to-school present. they're lovely :D

i should stop thinking of it as school. this is a sixth form college, with new people and new lessons.

i've printed off all my summer work and packed my hear'say pencil tin.

i've been in my dressing gown since 4 o clock. i'm milking this holiday.

i hope amy winehouse doesn't die.

i wake up at around half past seven every morning. this is because this is the time that my sister leaves her bedroom to prepare her lunch for work. her door squeaks when it opens.

i've had to reason no get up that early (if you consider half past seven early) for the past few months, so generally i lazily drift in and out of consciousness for about an hour.

this morning i woke up at quarter past eight. i heard my mother walk across the landing so i called out a rather feeble 'hellooo' and she came in. with biscuits.

she very kindly plugged in my television so i could read the music pages on teletext. even if i were dying i would still make the effort to read those pages. i make sure that no-one has died or been arrested. then my mind is at rest.

my sister has lent me a book. it's called 'brand new friend' and it's by mike gayle. she said i'd like it because i enjoyed 'high fidelity'.

i started reading at about half past eight and continued to do so till quarter past eleven. it was nothing like high fidelity but awesome all the same. soppy ending. but sometimes you need a soppy ending.

half way through the book i heard a strange noise at the dining room window. the dining room is directly below my bedroom. my first thought was that someone was trying to break in. i knew that my dad had gone for a walk but i wasn't sure if my mum was with him. i was potentially alone with a potential break-in.

we've only ever had one burglary and that was about six years ago. hopefully we'll never have one again. that was a horrible time.

i walked across the landing to my parents room. if you look out their back window you can see the dining room window. there was no burglar. however, there was my mother. cleaning the pond. what possessed my mother to clean the pond at half past nine in the morning, i have no idea. however, i was happy and went back to bed.

it was lovely being all snuggled and listening to the radio. a bit like being ill, but without the nausea and kleenex boxes. i listned to chris moyles until 10 o clock (i know i shouldn't, but i really do find him funny) and then bbc6 from then on. i listen to arrowrock in the evenings. they have a show called the vintage years. it's awesome.

when i finished the book, i got up. slammed on the manic street preachers at top volume. i am a teenager. i've been listening to them a lot in the past week. it's a pmt thing. whenever i have pmt, i develop a sniffle and an obsession with a random band. this month - the manics. sniff.

it's november. it's not august, it's november. that's why i'm wearing a wooly jumper. i'm never sure how you spell wooly. woolly?

came downstairs. checked my inbox. one from the kaiser chiefs (new single out, thanks for the reminder lads but i bought it yesterday, that's how dedicated a fan i am), one from the manic street preachers (and the pmt hormones run wild) and one from a schoolfriend who wants to meet up before we get our exam results on thursday.

i just want to get thursday over and done with as quickly as possible. i don't know whether i want to pass or fail. if i pass, i'll be able to get know all the new beautiful people and it will be two years of joy. if i fail, i'll be able to do my own thing, start doing some serious recording and get my music out. i don't know what i want.

so till then, i'm going wear my hair in bunches and my jacket loose.

brushing my teeth with dragonflies

i'm using a new toothpaste. it has winnie the pooh on the label and it tastes like ice cream. when you squeeze the tube, it comes out in the shape of a dragonfly.

i hate peppermint. it feels like my mouth is on fire. it's one of the worst tastes in the world. i am not going to subject my mouth to it twice a day.

that's why i use kiddiepaste. it works just as well and you get winnie the pooh wishing you good morning. and good night. but good morning sounds less creepy.

if people reply to this, it is proof that people will reply to anything. i love blogging.

x

a-z of music

What was the most recent Album you have bought?

'voices of animals and men' by the young knives. £6.95 from HMV. go get it now, kids

Who is your favourite Beatle?

george :)

How many CDs do you own?

roughly 200

Do you ever Download music?

very rarely. i prefer having something to hold.

Is there a record that you listen to Every day?

every day? of my LIFE? there are lots of records that i love but if i listened to them every day then i would be scared of getting bored of them. so, no.

What would your dream Festival be like?

nothing flashy, just all my favourite bands. on one stage, so no times clash.

What was the last Gig you went to?

wireless festival, yeeeaaah baby.

What song makes you Happy?

what ONE SONG? there are loads of songs that make me happy! i suppose that 'you won't see me' by the beatles is my comfort blanket. it's not a happy song, but it feels so warm.

Can you play any Instruments?

yes, i play keyboards, guitar, cowbell, egg-shaker and ocarina.

Do you Jump around at shows?

yes. probably a bit too much. but it's a good way of making new friends. and enemies!

Is there a musician/singer you would like to Kill?

you can't kill musicians! they're magical. however, i would be happy if kate nash... disappeared. and 50 cent. where is he, anyway? not that i miss him.

Do you read the Liner notes in records?

yes. always.

Have you ever Mourned the passing of a musician/singer?

yes.

What are you listening to right Now?

haha, i just put on 'you won't see me'. that other question got me in the mood for it :D

Do you like musicals (like Oklahoma)?

some are okay. i like west side story. the king and i is alright. evita's quite good. i don't understand people who rave about musicals.

Do you have an MP3 Player?

nope.

Do you like Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'?

i used to love it, but i think i've heard it too many times now.

What is your favourite Radio station?

BBC6music, baby.

What was the most recent Single you have bought?

mutyamarda, song 4 mutya. TUUUUNE

Have you ever made a compilation Tape for a loved one?

yes

Did you buy Rhianna's 'Umbrella'?

i was actually very tempted in the first week it came out, but as the weeks went by i grew less and less fond of it.

What record deserves to be played at a high Volume?

hmm. kaiser chiefs. muse. c'mon, there's loads of stuff that has to be played loud!

What song makes you Weep?

oh, there are too many songs that make me cry. the last time i wept buckets was with 'everybody's gotta learn sometime' (beck's version). i was putting it on said compilation tape for said loved one.

Do you like rap music (like Xzibit)?

you really had no idea what to ask for X, did you? some rap is okay. if it has a good beat then i don't mind it now and again.

Do you still like the bands you did ten Years ago?

ten years ago. i liked the spice girls and had a crush on damon from blur. so yeah, nothing much has changed.

Do you know any Zodiac signs of musicians/singers off the top of your head?

birthdays, yes. zodiac signs? i'm useless at those!

trip to norfolkia

this is the first time ever that we've had two holidays in one year. it was also the first time that i've been to norfolk without my sister. she couldn't get time off work. it felt strange writing a postcard to her.

on the first day, there was cambridge

before we got to the cottage we were staying in, we stopped off in cambridge for a couple of hours. we went round the shops and looked at kings. it was really lovely. we watched the people going punting, but didn't have a go because of my fear of boats without cabins.

we got to the cottage at about tea-time. it was a converted stable, really small but really lovely. we unpacked and relaxed for a bit, and then we went to cromer.

we tend to always go to cromer on the first night to book tickets for the end of the pier show (wahey!). it was a really good night as the weather was perfect. i saw my first ever sunset. it was amazing.

on the second day, there were crocs

we started the day by nipping into holt. this was a very brief visit, but i did buy a very snazzy waitcoat. yeah, baby.

then we went to a place called pensthorpe. it was like a bird park. it was so great! we walked through forests and gardens and looked at all the different birds. we saw ducklings on a little stream. they were adorable!

we had a picnic at pensthorpe then we headed to hunstanton. i love hunstanton. i actually have a t-shirt to prove it. we looked round the gift shops (they had some kaiser chiefs keyrings and badges in one of them so i had fun in there). i also got a magnet with some cheese on it. alex james would be proud.

then we went for a walk along the beach. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY PAIRS OF CROCS IN MY LIFE. i apologise if you like crocs, or even own a pair of them, but they are the most HIDEOUS shoes in the WORLD. it's not very often that i have real issues with a fashion, but UGH.

then we went to walsingham. it's very godly there. there's a big chapel. somebody thought i was my dad's wife.

on the third day, there was roys (ROYS!)

day three would be one of my favourite days. in the morning, we went to wroxham. i love wroxham. really really really. i know my way around wroxham better than i know my way around my hometown. FACT. we went to roys (ROYS!) and i bought the second franz ferdinand album. everyone said that was when they turned bad but i thought it was when they turned good. i'm not really the biggest franz fan but it was £2.99 and it had elanor put your boots on and i love that.

then we went to the other roys (ROYS!) where i looked at clothes and read the NME. i'm boycotting the NME ever since it put kate nash and jack penate on the cover. in jo world, boycotting means that you can read in the shop but you can't buy it.

then i went to roys (ROYS!) toys and played with the dollies and contemplated buying a handbag in the shape of a poodle.

we had lunch by the river and watched people smashing their boats into the bridge.

next, we went to potter heigham. lathams! tat city! yaay! that was fun. i have never seen so many anchorman videos in one place.

the last place we went to was great yarmouth. i LOVE it there. it's so gloriously tacky. we went down the highstreet. there was a china shop. that was great. it sold proper kimonos and everything. then we went to a music merchandise shop and i got the most hilariously gay kaiser chiefs mug ever. love love love love love.

then we had fish and chips. yummy.

after that we went to see broadland fm do a show by the sand. that was great. they played music and gave out stickers to cute kids. i wanted a sticker. i asked the guy if i was cute enough for a sticker. he said i was. i was happy.

then we watched the fireworks on the beach. they were great!

on the fourth day, there was no wells

i hate wells. i have issues with it. we drove through it but couldn't find a parking space. every time our car slowed down i felt myself tensing up.

we went to holkham. i saw deer. i'll post the photos soon.

in the evening, we went to the cromer show. it's tacky, it's terrific. i loved it. there was music and dancing and a ventriloquist who was superb. one of the best shows i've seen there.

on the fifth day, there was a mad dash through primark

we couldn't leave the cottage till we had seen status quo and super furry animals on telly. so once they were done, we packed our stuff and got into the car. then we went to norwich.

hmv had a import of 'lap of honour', a kaiser chiefs record that was only released in japan. so i got that

then i went on a quest to find a blue skirt. my method of shopping is to get in and out as quickly as possible. this way, you can get half an hours shopping done in about seven minutes. ziiiiiiiiiiip. didn't find one.

then it was the long drive home.

the loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong

driiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive

hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooome.

we got stuck in traffic, and got home two hours later than expected. could've been worse.

and that was my trip to norfolk.

visiting william

i went to oxford this week. for three days. it was hell getting up there, the M25 was blocked and it took ages to get through. however, once we were out of there we had a smooth ride for the rest of the journey.

reached the park and ride to get to stradtford at around half ten. got the bus, and began our little tour of shakespearean houses. they were really pretty - anne hathaway's was my favourite, wouldn't mind living there myself.

that's basically what we spent the first day doing. there's a christmas shop opposite shakespeare's birthplace. open all year round.

then it was time to find the hotel. we followed the directions aa had given us to the letter. eventually, we arrived at a hotel, but it was a 'days inn' as oppoosed to a travelodge where we were supposed to be. we sat in the car park for a moment to get our heads together. father went in to enquire where we were. as the rest of us sat in the car park, we watched as no less than 150 armed policemen entered the car park. then two tibetan monks, fully robed in orange and red, came and stood next to our car.

as we left the car park to get to our hotel, we saw a police helicopter fly over our heads.

it turned out that our hotel was on the other side of oxford. so we had a long drive. we got there eventually though. we had written a letter some weeks before asking for two rooms next to each other, as this was my first experience in a hotel by myself. however, the rooms they had given us were on separate floors. in the end, they gave us two disabled rooms which were opposite each other. "they do have bigger bathrooms though. is that alright?" they said.

went to my room. after a few minutes, father came and knocked on my door. turned out that i'd left the key in the keyhole so anyone could have got in

first night was lovely. my room was next to a courtyard so it was nice and quiet. i unpacked my stuff, watched a repeat of have i got news for you and then fell asleep listening to pulp.

woke up at half seven next morning. spent the first half of the day doing family history stuff - looking at churches, graves. visited on of the university houses, which was pretty impressive.

the afternoon was shopping time! bought rogue traders/pop levi/menswear. only realised when it was too late that the shop i was in was selling the grey album. i nearly died. lovely little shop. proper little indie store.

then we got the bus back home. was sat opposite a guy in a bright pink suit. i always fall in love with people on public transport.

went back to the hotel. was tired. got a bit too emotional whilst watching 'guarding the queen'. had a bath. sleep.

next morning would be our last in oxford. packed my suitcase. we went to blenhiem palace. very pretty. very over the top. first time i've ever been defeated by a maze.

next was islip. checked out a church for family history. had a ice cream. then it was time to go home.

journey home was much better than the one up. smooth ride all the way.

got home.

YAY

it's thursday. it's cold. it's nine o clock. i'm in the house by myself. this doesn't happen very often.

in some ways i like it. i turn up my records loud. i can look a state and no one will know

but in other ways i don't like it. i'm paranoid. i'm always convinced someone will break in and i shall have to fend for myself. that's why i'm sitting next to a large wooden stick.

the house seems so quiet. yesterday i had a friend over, so the house was filled with old issues of smash hits and manic street preachers records. today it is just me.

i think i have a cold coming on. i have a funny feeling in the back of my throat and my nose is sniffly. it better not develop any further.

ugh.

jo's fun day at the park

i woke up at five o clock because i was very excited. then i went back to sleep. then i woke up at six. i bounced around the house for a bit until everyone else woke up.

i got dressed into my "I'm a Chief!" t-shirt (because there were no chiefette shirts round my town, but being a chief makes me feel like i'm one of the band, hehe), my old jeans and my infamous, world famous GIG JACKEEEET

at eleven the taxi arrived. we were driven up to the train station. there we got on the train and met some nice people. they were going to see muse, but had been to hyde park the day before to see daft punk. it was really nice to chat to them.

then we got off at london victoria. i saw some friends from school! then i lost them. then we started walking to hyde park.

we sat outside hyde park at about a quarter to two eating sandwiches. at two, the music began! then i couldn't eat anymore because i was too excited.

we went inside to catch the end of melee's set. they were brilliant! we went over to a merch stall where we were served by a fyfe dangerfield lookalike (which is always a good thing). he gave me a kaiser chiefs carrier bag - for FREE! lots of love to mr fyfe-man.

then we went to see prego. they were great! here is a photo.

when their set was finished, we headed outside. the figurines would be on in fifteen minutes on the main stage so we headed over there to get a good spot. and we succeeded!

the figurines were awesome, had some top tunes. they were from denmark. here is another photo, to slow down this page loading times even more.

then we had twenty minutes until polysics were on stage. there was no way i was going to miss polysics. so we sat down for a minute, and watched bob dylan on the big screen.

whatever you say, bob.

then polysics (from tokyo, japaaaaaaaan!) came on stage! and i went mental. they played 'my sharona'! cue even more mental behaviour. hiro is a superb frontman. so much energy. love him lots.

i stood next to a group of guys throughout. we were all jumping and dancing. they were smoking. it wasn't until the end of the set that i realised that they weren't smoking cigarettes. it was marijuana. which probably explained why my mental levels were increasing rapidly throughout the set. by the end, i was flying. which is what you'd expect after inhaling weed for forty minutes

i have about a million polysics photos but this is the only one with all members of the band, so i thought i'd post this one :)

after polysics, we floated round to the bandstand where the ryes were playing. i hadn't heard of the ryes before, so i wanted to see them. they were excellent! very funny, very sweet lads. the keyboardist accidentally wrecked his keyboard at the end of the set. at least i think it was an accident.

then about half way through the set, the drugs kicked in again!

haha! these lovely guys came and joined us for a boogie. they were awesome!

when the ryes finished their set, we went and caught the last five minutes of duke spirit.

like the hat.

after duke spirit, there was a lot of frenzy as the crowd prepared themselves for the pigeon detectives. we were all in a hot, packed tent. it was mental. there was chanting. there was jumping around. and the band hadn't even come on stage yet. then they did!

ooooh yes. it was mad. it was one of those times when you get a little bit closer to people than you normally would. we were all throwing ourselves into one another.

now, the person who organised the times for sunday put the pigees and the cribs on at the same time. clever. hmm. so i had to leave half way through pigees (luckily i didn't miss 'i found out') and managed to catch the cribs' second half. i got there just in time for 'men's needs'. brill. i also managed to see them play 'another number' (cue madness). couldn't get too close to the stage though.

unfortunately throughout cribs i was stood next to someone who did not like cribs. but i soon scared them off.

after cribs, we all went for a little walk around the park, on a mission to find alex zane and kidnap him. or at least get his autograph. no luck with alex, however we did find a bench and had a nice sit down for a while.

then editors were announced. suddenly we picked up the energy to ruuuuun back to the crowd and see them :)

they were incredible. tom is an amazing performer. i befriended the man next to me. we sang and danced for a bit. then he disappeared, and came back with some little pink pills for himself. then he mysteriously disappeared. probably off with the skully horsemen.

after editors, they started putting up the big kaiser curtain. cue lots of excitement from me. then their intro music started playing.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" i said.

bada-bing...

bada-boom!

they were INCREDIBLE. MASTERS of MAGIC (i tell thee). ricky climbed up the side of the lighting, then jumped off and did a forward roll across the stage. simon bounced around in circles. peanut helped us clap along to modern way. nick did his loreal-style hair flick. whitey was all smiley! i was very happy.

then hiro of polysics came and joined them for na na na na naa! it was BRILLIANT! ricky and hiro did synchronised star-jumps in the middle of the stage. we managed to catch it on the monitor

they both looked so happy with each other. i think my heart exploded at that point from a fangirlism overload.

they came off stage for a bit. people started to leave! they must not have known about the encore! but i stayed, muaha. and it was well worth it. they finished with 'try your best' (yes, i cried), 'thank you very much' (i pulled some mean shapes) and 'oh my god'. oh my god indeed. it was incredible.

aaaah. the lights... so pretty!

we shouted KAISER and the K lit up. then we shouted CHIEFS and the C lit up. heh heh

then they came off stage, lots of 'byeees!' and waving. nick came off last, having to come all the way down from his drum-kit.

then it was over.

:(

we had to walk out of hyde park in the dark. god knows what - or who - we were treading on. it was a very long walk back to the train station. everyone was singing. it was a lovely feeling, even though my feet were aching.

the train was there when we arrived. sat down - well, collapsed. our carriage was full of people from the gig. within about ten minutes they were all asleep. lightweights! we all stayed awake, murmuring quietly about our day. it was a lovely smooth ride back home

we got off at home. we waited outside the station for a few minutes then a taxi came. we chatted to the driver about the concert. he liked george michael.

he dropped us off right outside our house. then we went in and had milk and biscuits. mmm.

then it was time for bed, zebedee.

that was my fun day at the park.

but i don't care. i'm shredding all my coursework that i've done over the past two years. i've also found a pair of neon pink fishnets in my bag. happy days.

today was my second to last day ever of wearing school uniform. from friday night i am free! i don't mind the uniform that much though, to be honest. it's quite nice.

had the chemistry exam this morning. not brilliant, not horrible. not sure if i passed. i failed the mock. oh well. it's only science. never going to need that again.

shred shred shred

i'm listening to remi nicole. she's on her way to being part of my list of women that i like a bit too much (which also includes amanda palmer, natasha khan and bjork). you should check her out if you like jolly summer music. she's brilliant.

shred shred shred

i just found a book about DINOSAURS. in my BAG.

i like dinosaurs.

rawr.

check out the red paintings. there's a song called 'streets fell into my window' on their myspace. it will warp your mind. not as jolly as remi nicole. but very creeepy.

i just found a necklace in my bag. it's very pretty.

shred shred shred

i'm not shredding the necklace by the way

good grief, i just found a SLAB OF WOOD.

since when do i keep a slab of wood in my school bag? in case i get mugged on the way from the car to the entrance?

???
